UFHL History The UFHL started at Hockey Fusion.com and the Commissioner there at the time gave up on the league before it really got going. Kane stepped in and took over the league and built up the hype for the league again. At this time Snapshot-Hockey had just reopened it's doors and decided to make a name for itself. Kane approached me soon after in a deal to move the UFHL to Snapshot Hockey since Hockey Fusion was going to be sold. It's a good thing he did Hockey Fusion closed it's doors soon after. Kane had a vision for this league to make it the best possible simulation league on the internet. We did season 1 on our forums like all the other sites have done in the past. We had fun with it and kane was very quick with updates and simmed games. In the first season we noticed problems like a good solid rule book I started to ask direct questions into the gray area's of simulation leagues. We came up with a system of fair play that I am very proud of. All of the players get a say through voting and or through the league officials system that governs the league and makes sure the system stays fair. After that I started to think tracking all the stats would be really cool and have a full league web site with all this great information available to all to see. I found a tracking system and the rest is History. The script has been modded by Snapshots good friend Mike C from MSNhockey.com. Together throwing ideas off each other we came up with what is there today. It will continue to get better over time. Our league now really puts the GM in the driver's seat they must manage the team through the web site in the forum of signings and trades with other teams. The Tracking system helps by adding all the math for you letting you point and click on your player to get Bio information and stats. The GM's job now has a more real feel to it. It's like playing dynasty mode on a NHL series game. Your team gets there by the hard work of the GM's and the players.
