This years event would have to top last years but the whole going on the ice there is nothing like that. Well what did we do this year NOTHING IT WAS BORING!
WHAT!!!!!! I am just kidding we all had a great time. This page will give you some of my thoughts & feelings on the Event. Wow the trip in the plane to Vancouver I had to go to the bathroom really bad about the half way mark into the flight but alas there was a little girl in the middle seat with a glass of water on the foldout tray. Her Father on the isle seat they both get up & go but leave there trays down how Rude. I finally I got to go but in my haste I didn't lock the door. I very good looking lady opened the door right after I was finished. I think she was more embarrassed than me. She said sorry like 4 times on my way back to my seat. I didn't care. I can at least say I made her trip a good one.
Well Now I am in vancouver I am all ready got my bags oh Ya got to call Steve Hernandez from Sports Gamer as luck would have it he is here in the airport somewhere. After 20 Cell calls to him & asking everyone in the airport where international fights come in, I found him.
We grabbed our cab & headed to the hotel. When we got there I called Eric From the EA Sports Forums I had meet Eric last year & I knew he was first in. Yep he was in & so was Luc from Crash the Net. They where at a local Bar having a Drink. After me & steve checked in we met the guys at the bar & had some beers. I would like to say that our good friend Steve is from the US & the beer is not as Peppy as ours where he is from, I got a feeling Steve might be moving to Canada, but you'll need to learn to say Eh!, HA hA Oh Yea my story after 4 wobbly Pops we headed back to the hotel to meet the guy that puts this whole event together Marcus.
Marcus took us all to Earls for Supper & Talk NO BEERS GUYS NO BEERS! I must say for me I hated the menu so I have just the fries which tasted like the 5 min kind. Everyone else I think had a great meal. I enjoyed the talk more then the food. I got to follow up with everyone & see how all the guys where doing.................WHAO put on the brakes we had a female guest this year Lauren You can check her out on the players page. I know what your thinking way to young for me but I bet most of the members here will like her photos. I had to leave before eveyone else this year being on Atlantic time for me it was late.
Breakfast was at 8:10am at the hotel. Talk about fancy I think my eggs where glazed either that or my waiter didn't like me. After 5 cups of coffee I was ready to go. Marcus tells us we are going to the EA Studio. What did he just say well I was ready to drop a nugget right there in my pants. I don't know maybe it's the tech in me or the web master I fine code relaxing at times. Here was my big chance to get a look see as to how the games are made. POOF wake up dream boy that didn't happen. Instead we Meet the Development team headed up by David Littman. We got to see some early Developments for NHL 09 this is the stuff the team is working on. We got to say if we liked it or not & they took notes on some truly great ideas from the community ya you heard that right we had a say into the delevlopment of the game. The game is too early in it's Development to really say anything about it. I got a feeling some of what we seen will not even make the final release. Like I said to early in the year & I know a few things about code. I guess thats all I will have about the game. It would not be fair really to pass judgement on anything at this point. Did I like what I did see. Some of it.

We also got to meet with David McCarthy leader of Marketing from the NHL we played a card game that was fun & won some cool Prizes. Overall a great day at EA but I was hoping to speak to Development team guys more one on one like last year. I understand they are working hard on the new game for next year so, time away from that takes away from Development time. I thank all of them none the less for talking the time to Speak to us as much as they did. This is Dave to the Left as we Stood in the Cannucks Dressing Room. Very Nice person & a true Hockey Guy. Thanks for coming & spending the day with us.

The last day of the event was at GM Place this place was awesome a freaking bar on every level & every 10 feet got to love that. It was a important game for the Canucks they needed to win it to keep in the playoff hunt. They lost 2-1 better luck Next year! See you on the Golf Course , well not me GO WINGS GO . The tour of GM Place was the best we got to go to the Canucks Dressing room which is normally OFF LIMITS. Marcus looked like a little Kid at Christmas & all the toys that's a Big Smile you got there. Marcus was standing right by Linden & Naslunds Jerseys & Skates. We Received Canucks Hats & A RBK Cannucks Jersey. I would like to thank EA for a Great trip & a very fun event.
